It ‘s been all action at Nigi Nigi Too over the last - month or so —- Why ?

Nigi Nigi Too hosted Star Cinema’s and Viva Film’s film crews for their most recent , just released film “When love begins “ .

Nigi Nigi Too was also the site of many of the shootings, particularly around its beachfront bar and the beach itself - with morning sports events and that magical Boracay sunset being featured throughout the film.

The film was publicly released last week – an amazing two weeks after the completion of location shooting – they say this is necessary with the film simultaneously opening throughout the Philippines before it is copied for cheap illegal DVD’s.

The film stars, blockbuster Aga Mulach and publicly adored sweet and innocent face of Anne Curtis plus a number of young new faces including some of PBBs stars all directed by much admired Film Director Joey Javier Reyes, multi-awarded, talented and an enduring Filipino Artist.
The initial film reviews have been extremely favorable with up-beat positive commentaries. But life in the film business is not easy —- with pre-dawn and long after midnight shootings.

A female staff of Nigi Nigi Too was all excited when asked to serve a refreshment to Aga which was captured on film for only a second but created a spirit of excitement and creativity that throbbed throughout the resort during the entire period.

Just as the film crew packed up their gear – the resort was overwhelmed by a tremendous volume of tropical floral displays in readiness for two romantic beach weddings followed by an invasion of healthy looking athletes who are participating in the Boracay leg of the Asian wide dragon boat competition so it’s all go – go at Nigi Nigi.

Nigi Nigi Too Beach Wedding

Nigi Nigi Too was the sight of a beautiful intimate wedding of Darren and Zhina Berry.  Set on the beachfront with aisle of tropical foliage and selection of tropical flowers, the wedding was perfectly timed to catch the setting sun.  With guests of only family members and close friends, the beautiful couple enjoyed the intimate wedding reception.  The bride , Zhina is beautiful with her light blue dress and her simple headdress complimented her long black tresses and accented her pretty facial features, while  groom Darren is dashingly cool and chic in his blue tinged barong tagalog.

Zhina rock the night with a few songs which we all enjoyed .  Not many are aware  that Zhina used to be  a member of a rock band and gave up her career for the man she loves .  Zhina showed that she has no regrets in leaving concert tours as she sung lovingly to her husband.

P.A.D.I. Scuba Diving Courses in Boracay

In order for non-divers to experience the wonders of the underwater world most schools offer short P.A.D.I. Discover Scuba Diving Introductory plus Beginner’s Open Water Courses. White Beach, with its warm tranquil waters and gentle sandy slope, is the ideal place for those first training sessions followed by shallow yet exhilarating dives to the local coral reefs, where the student can enjoy the vast richness of tropical reef life, while still training within a calm protected environment.

Some Top Boracay Dive Locations Include:

Plenty of dive spots

There are more than 30 dive sites around Boracay and the surrounding islands so divers of all levels will find a Boracay Dive spot that suits their skill level

Most of the Boracay dive sites can be reached in as little as 10 minutes with about one hours travel by Banca boat being the most distance you will have to travel

Chimneys – This dive spot is only about 15 minutes boat ride right from White Beach Boracay and it has a deep wall hence it’s name. Depth 30-40 metres and for more experienced divers

Shark Cave – This dive is best done at a falling tide and it is a great deep drift dive. There is a cave with plenty of fish and marine life at about 35 metres.

Yapak Two – This dive is about 12-15 minutes boat ride around the northern end of Boracay island. There is a sloping wall which begins at about 30 metres and it has many bigger fish including Trevally, White Tip Reef Sharks and Grey sharks. This Boracay dive site is for experienced divers only.

Crocodile Island – Again this dive is only about 15 minutes away from the main beach and is recommended for less experienced divers. The sloping wall face begins at 5 metres and continues down to 22 metres. The wall has many corals on with lots of smaller varieties of fish including snappers, moorish idols, rabbit fish, fusiliers, banner fish. There is also a small cave located at about 15 metres.

Laurels – This dive resembles a series of small steps which begin at 5 meters going down to approximately 25 meters. Laurels has plenty of corals and is very lively with fish. A photographers paradise.

Boracay Island “A Paradise Awaits You” by Jason Probyn

Boracay Island combines crystal clear waters, sugary beaches that squeak when walked on, and lush hilly landscapes into an idyllic tourist haven, that’s guaranteed to fascinate and lull visitors into tranquil harmony with its simplistic beauty. Visitors commonly refer to Boracay as a breath-taking, unbelievably magical Island. A paradise set in the unspoilt South China Seas.

The small island, only seven kilometers long and one kilometer wide at its narrowest point, is located just off the northern tip of its mother Visayan island of Panay. The northern and southern parts of the island rise into picturesque hills, with elevations of 100 meters above sea level, that face the sea with weather worn cliffs. The Island has numerous scattered villages ( ’sitio’s’ ) interconnected by a maze of intriguing jungle pathways.

Boracay boasts one of the world’s finest beaches - White Beach, a broad 3.5 kilometer stretch of sun-drenched sand, bathed by a white capped strip of perpetually turquoise water. For active landlubbers the Island’s center extends a natural invitation to hike or mountain bike its many trails, criss- crossing its gently hilly slopes, while offering occasional glimpses of far-off sandy coves, fringed by palm trees. Your hike could extend to Puka Shell Beach, located on the Island’s northern tip, facing Carabao Island. Puka Beach is the home of Boracay’s famous and at one time plentiful Puka shells.
